A week in Paris… Our journey started by travelling down to Manchester and staying overnight for an early morning flight straight to Charles de Gaulle.
After just over an hour flight, we arrived into Paris and travelled straight to our hotel to drop our suitcases off and head out for the day to explore the city. We started by getting the metro to the Pantheon Area and stopped for a late lunch at ‘Le Relais Odéon’ for food and drinks in the sun. We then explored the Place du Panthéon and the Notre Dame with a quick hot chocolate stop in between. After walking in the wrong direction to the Eiffel Tower, we stopped at a gorgeous Chinese restaurant ‘Lao Tseu’ before heading back to the hotel for an early night before another full day.

Our day started with chocolate waffles and pastries before heading to the Tuileries Garden and a walk along the River Seine to the Eiffel Tower for a glass or two of wine. If you are a chocolate lover like me I recommend stopping at ‘Maison Georges Larnicol’ or for an ice cream at ‘Amorino’.

Our last full day in the city centre started at ‘Breizh Café’ for crêpes before walking the gorgeous streets to the Luxembourg Gardens and then to ‘Le New York’ for more wine and a late lunch with an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. After heading to the Arch de Triumph and walking down the Champs-Elysées we headed past the Palais de Tokyo setting up for Paris Fashion Week. In the evening we went back to the Eiffel Tower to see it famously sparkle at nightfall.

The next morning included a trip to the Musee du Louvre which was cut short by long queues so we headed to the ‘Galerie Patrick Fourtin’ where Emily in Paris was filmed before another quick hot chocolate stop. The afternoon involved checking out our hotel and getting the train to Disneyland Paris for a change of hotel and food and drinks in the Disney Village.
Needless to say our last two days included Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios before heading home. Our favourite attractions included HyperSpace Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, Tower of Terror and Crush’s Coaster, not forgetting the evening spectacular Disney Illuminations.
