THE MEANING OF PEARL
Synonymous with luxury and a symbol of wisdom, purity and prestige, pearls are worn and loved by people of all ages and status – from celebrities and royals to this generation’s influencers and fashion icons.
Said to be the world’s oldest gem, it’s believed pearls were first discovered by our ancestors searching for food – oysters - on the ocean floor.

In Ancient Rome and China, they were given as gifts to royalty and, under the law, only allowed to be worn by the most powerful rulers.
In the world of spirituality, their meaning extends to inner wisdom, protection and grace. Considered “gems of the sea”, they’re said to shield wearers from evil and attract luck and wealth.
Fast-forward to more recent times and the world’s affection for pearls remain.

Originating from China, our organic freshwater pearls arrive baroque-style and perfectly imperfect.
Look closely and you’ll discover that they’re unevenly-shaped and gently iridescent for added texture and an authentic, just-out-the-sea look and feel.
Elsewhere, brass-cast beads, finished in silver and gold to purposely punctuate the pearls’ shimmering aura, make their mark.
