The Inspiration Diaries: Nature's Form.

When I do manage to get some time and indulge myself in my favourite pastimes, I spend a lot of time staring at the ground. Not in a moody way. More in a “wow, look at those lines in the sand” way.

It may sound purist, but I have learned to appreciate the simple, free things in life.  Even though work is a part of me, I have been on a journey to make sure it is not everything and remember the elements that bring me the most happiness.

On the beach near home, the tide draws different patterns every day.  Some mornings you see perfect ridges, neat and even. Other days everything looks wild and jumbled. I walk along and take too many photos, then go home and document the shapes I remember.`

Nature never feels random to me. There is always some rhythm running through things. A curve in a stone that matches a fold in a shell. Lines in dried mud that echo ripples in shallow water. All those details began to feed into this collection.

With Nature’s Pattern I wanted jewellery that honours those rhythms without copying them directly. Pieces that feel soft and fluid, with enough texture to keep your eye moving.

Designs that suit a simple vest and shorts, or an oversized shirt on holiday, but still work when you are back at your desk.
